Cage #

Description

41/43 1 to 2 year old stray, this boy looks like a Pomeranian/Keeshund/Spitz mix? He's about 18-22#, was a little bit timid after being moved up and is a beautiful silver/cream color. He's a nice dog but would do well with no small children, at least until he settles in and feels comfortable again. Up for adoption on 3/4

AVAIL TO RESCUE 3/12

42/44 Very pretty female, reddish, longer fur. Listed as a Chow mix but looks quite Golden Retriever mixed. About 1 year old, this girl is around 55#. She came in with her 7 week old puppies and is still drying up. She seems friendly but does not like being in her cage, especially since she can hear her puppies crying/playing in another cage. Owner Surrender. She went up for adoption on 3/4

49/51 2 Owner Surrender puppies, 7 weeks old, Chow/Retriever mix. We "think" both are female. Very sweet, very sleepy little ones who will require love and care to help them grow up to be a good dog. They also hope that they're never EVER dumped at the Shelter like their mommy was, with a bunch of babies. They hope you'll spay them so they can always be your sweet girl! Up for adoption 3/4

AVAIL TO RESCUE 3/11

50/52 Jack Russell Terrier male, 4 years old. He was picked up as a stray and he does not like being at the Shelter and will bark to tell you so! He is inquisitive, quick and smart! He does bark a lot while in his cage but stops when you get him out. See, he IS smart! About 20-22#, he is tri color and a nice boy. Up for adoption on 3/4

AVAIL TO RESCUE 3/11

53/55 This little fella is a Chi mix about 2-3 years old. HE isn't very big, has no tail, kind of floppy ears and is a beautiful, soft light golden color. Dainty legged with a stocky body, he definately does have Chi in him but I have no idea what else! Friendly little guy, he would do best in a home without small children because of his size. About 15#, he hopes someone will love him enough to adopt him and keep him safe at home! Up for adoption 3/8

AVAIL TO RESCUE 3/15

54/56 Just a dainty, sweet, female Rat Terrier girl, about 1 year old. Tri color, she's fast, energetic and playful but can be timid too. After all, the Shelter is full of barky dogs and when you're small, it can be very intimidating. About 15#, she's very pretty and a good girl! Up for adoption 3/5

58/60 Buddy is a great dog! He's about 1 year old and is a beautiful Black Lab or mix. He was an Owner Surrender because they had a new baby and couldn't handle having the baby and Buddy. He's ok with other pets, lived in the house and is a very sweet, smart boy. Buddy weighs about 60# and really hopes to not stay too long at the Shelter because it doesn't feel good to be "Behind Bars". When taken outside to potty, this poor boy must have tinkled for 15 minutes because he's housebroken. Up for adoption on 3/1

73-75 This boy is all Beagle and ALL charm. He does have the Beagle bark but he uses it to greet you, "talk" for treats and pester you for attention. He LOVES to get attention and gives it back well too. He actually thinks he should be the Beagle Ambassador to the White House because too many people just think that they (like himself and his little girl friend in 81/83) are only "huntin" dogs. The fact is, they have so much more to offer than people realize. Velvet soft, long silky ears and that soulful Beagle face. That's not counting the dedication and love they give back.  A fenced yard SHOULD be a must for this boy, or at least a strong tether, because his nose does go and he is quick! Up for adoption on 2/8.

VERY URGENT!! AVAIL TO RESCUE NOW!!

73/75
74/76 Coonhound girl, about 2 years old. Mostly Black/Tan, she's smaller, probably 55# tops. Quite a calm girl, she has that soulful look and the wonderful long, soft ears. She seems to like everyone and most likely would be a big ole couch potato at your house...until she smelled a rabbit or something. Fenced yard or strong tether recommended but she should NOT be an outside only dog (no dog should be). She's hoping you'll find a soft spot in your heart for her. Up for adoption 3/4

78/80 What a sweetheart! This girl is still a baby at around 6 months but she is not small. She was an owner surrender (unsure why) who is listed as a Black Lab mix. She's housebroken, good with kids and very very gentle. Loves to play fetch. She probably weighs about 55# and her fur is a bit longer than a regular Lab's. Up for adoption 3/3

AVAIL TO RESCUE 3/10

81/83 This little Beagle girl is just a DOLL! She's not too big, maybe 22# or so and is very attentive and happy. She is a bit fearful in her cage and loves to be taken out for her walk or socialization time. Very sweet girl, she was picked up with her buddy and just is dreaming of a new home where she won't get lost and won't be neglected. A good little girl who is waiting for you to come see her! Up for adoption 2/9

VERY URGENT!! AVAIL TO RESCUE NOW!!

82/84 Male Hound, either a large Coonhound or a Coonhound mix. He's tri color and big, laid back and relaxed. Pretty boy, he hopes someone will think he's a great "Catch" and fetch him home. He also would need a fenced yard or strong tether. He was a stray and really is patiently waiting to be discovered as your best friend. Neat boy, unsure of age. Up for adoption on 3/4

NOTICE: THE DAY OF THE WEEK ANIMALS ARE NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION.  THEY CAN NOT BE TAKEN FROM THEIR CAGES.

If you see an animal that interests you in the Day of the Week rooms , have the front desk verify when it will be available for adoption, it's age, breed and if it is spayed/neutered. Ask to have it moved up when the stray hold is up. If no one shows any interest there is no guarantee it will be moved to the Adoption Room.

If you have lost your dog, please GO TO THE SHELTER and look through the Stray Rooms daily or as often as you can. Fill out a "Lost" card and put it on the bulletin board. You are the only person who can truly tell if an animal is yours. No one can identify an animal from a description given over the phone.
