current policies and procedures. I will spread the word about FGCAS and the Shelter and agree
to write or sign letters, sign petitions and attend meetings, if possible, to show my support.

Appropriate Dress:
Be aware that clothing may become wet or muddy, depending on your duties. Wear sturdy shoes.
When you are working with the public casual dress is recommended.
No cropped or spaghetti tee shirts or tank tops, no short shorts
When working at the Shelter, wearing shirts identifying you as a FGCAS volunteer is preferred.
Please use proper hygiene to prevent the possibility of spreading of disease to your own pets at home.
I hereby release, indemnify, and hold harmless the Friends of Genesee County Animal Shelter; it’s director, successor, legal representatives, sponsors, and it’s Board, from any and all claims, cause of action, and liability arising from or in any way connected with my volunteer participation with Genesee County Animal Shelter. I agree to use caution and good judgment while working with the animals and understand that I am expressly assuming all risk, including but not limited to injury and disease, associated with my volunteer participation. FGCAS welcomes volunteers of all ages, however, children under 18 can volunteer only with their parents at the Shelter.
